Chris Edwards is ADC Energy’s Technical Lead in the Asia Pacific region based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Starting as a Mechanical Apprentice in the 1980’s, Chris has almost 40 years of engineering experience in the aviation and oil and gas sectors. Chris has been employed carrying out many engineering roles internationally, hands-on maintenance, supervisory, management, training and auditing. Following his time working with drilling contractors, Chris joined the ADC team in 2013. He worked as a Mechanical, BOP & Well Control Equipment specialist conducting rig and BOP inspections on a variety of different drilling units including land rigs, tender-assists, jack-ups, semi-submersibles and drillships.
Following numerous inspections in the region, Chris took up the role of the Asia Pacific region Technical Lead in 2023.
Outside of the office Chris enjoys family time, walking and cooking. This is combined in his love for travelling, where he strives to experience as many sights and tastes from all around the globe.
