Joe graduated with a BSC in Computer Science in 1989 , before working as an IT development Engineer, Technical Systems Architect and Technical Director for companies operating in Oil & Gas, Telecommunications and Rail and Transportation. Joe provided technical consultancy for ADC from 2008-2013 before joining the team permanently.
Joe’s strong Software and Systems Engineering, Networking and Cybersecurity background coupled with his expert knowledge of Dynamic Positioning Systems, Vessel Management Systems, Drilling Control and BOP MUX systems have positioned him as a Subject Matter Expert in the inspection and acceptance of complex software driven equipment and systems on the latest generation of rigs and vessels.
Joe has delivered over 40 projects for ADC, including numerous DP Assurance verification, Power Management System verification and Integrated Control System assurance on dozens of 6th and 7th generation drilling rigs. Additionally Joe has conducted cybersecurity assessments for Energy companies including BP’s Operational Technologies (OT) on their global offshore and onshore assets.
Joe enjoys riding his motorcycle with his club and spending time with his family. He has a passion for DIY and takes great pride in having built or created something with his hands.
