Since the inception of ADC Energy back in 1986 as a reaction to a gap in the market for robust and collaborative rig inspection services, ADC has remained a privately owned international business. The tenure of our key personnel averages over a decade and as we continue on our growth trajectory to service a global market, aligning the right people with the needs of the business have never been more important.
In 2022, after almost 4 decades of experience providing rig and vessel assurance, ADC made the natural progression into positioning itself at the forefront of AI-driven predictive maintenance solutions. We now combine domain expertise and data science to transform drilling rig and vessel uptime and performance throughout the entire rig/vessel lifecycle.
As part of the evolution of our business, ADC is excited to announce two key internal promotions of Craig Duncan and Jason McGill.
Craig Duncan will hold the position of Commercial Director – Innovation at ADC, where he is spearheading the company’s evolution into the practical application of AI and Machine Learning, with a particular emphasis on predictive maintenance solutions.
Craig’s journey with ADC began in 2010 in Operations, before transitioning into a Commercial role where he spent two years closely shadowing the company’s Directors, gaining invaluable insights into business management and commercial strategy. In 2014, Craig relocated to Kuala Lumpur to take on the role of Regional Manager for Asia Pacific. Over his eight-year tenure, he successfully established ADC’s footprint in the Malaysian market and expanded its capabilities across the broader Asia Pacific region.
“Driving innovation to deliver transformative change has always been a passion of mine and is integral to ADC’s DNA. Working closely with ADC’s Owners, our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and the Data Science team, I’ve been fortunate to play a critical role in launching our AI start-up. From developing and delivering successful pilot projects to securing our first revenue and creating a market-ready product, I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience navigating the challenges of building a tech business from the ground up”.
As the journey moves into its next phase, Craig is focused on propelling this start-up onto a high-growth trajectory, leveraging his deep industry experience, entrepreneurial mindset, and relentless commitment to innovation.
Jason McGill will now hold the position of Commercial Director of Energy and continue to be responsible for the commercial strategy of ADC’s core rig inspection and operational assurance services globally. Jason has been part of ADC’s commercial team since 2013 and had previously been responsible for the international growth of the company’s core business through the Americas, UK & Europe and MENA regions.
Transitioning from a Business Development Manager to a Commercial Director position, Jason will expand his responsibility beyond business development to encompass strategic commercial oversight, revenue management, and growth leadership. Jason will guide ADC’s strategic direction in sales, marketing, contract negotiations, and customer relations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
“I’m extremely proud to be entrusted with this newly created position and associated responsibility for the continued success of ADC Energy core services. Throughout my career, my values align firmly with the belief that a ‘Rising tide lifts all boats.’ ADC’s reputation is a gold standard within our industry and our relentless pursuit of excellence in turn ensures the success of every project we are involved with.”
Like many others at ADC, both Craig and Jason have played a vital role within the growth of the business over their respective 15 and 12 year careers and they have become key points of contact for our clients. ADC’s success is built on trust and integrity so we feel that this restructure of our business reflects our commitment to ensure our clients receive the best-in-class service.
