ADC Energy has been awarded the Associate Members’ Safety Award for 2025 at the IADC North Sea Chapter Annual Safety Awards, held on Friday 20th March and was accepted on behalf of the company by Jason McGill.

The recognition highlights ADC Energy’s pioneering work in advancing Blowout Preventer (BOP) reliability through AI-driven, condition-based annular integrity assessments – an initiative that is redefining safety standards across offshore drilling operations and enabling closer collaboration between rig owners and operators to make data-led decisions on safety-critical equipment.
In collaboration with Seadrill and Robert Gordon University, ADC Energy demonstrated safety leadership by deploying a robust, safety-assured AI capability that enhances subsea BOP integrity, strengthens barrier assurance, and supports safer, more informed operational decision-making.
By transitioning from traditional schedule-based maintenance to evidence-based condition monitoring, ADC Energy is setting a new benchmark in well control safety – moving beyond compliance toward proactive, data-driven risk management.
This achievement underscores ADC Energy’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and environmental protection – demonstrating that the future of offshore operations lies in working smarter, safer, and with greater foresight.
